Linear Forging with April Wood

Saturday + Sunday, July 28 + 29, 10-4pm

Pick up a hammer and join us in exploring how metal moves through the process of forging! Working with thin and thick gauge copper and bronze wire (silver optional) students will lean how to spread, taper, thicken, split, and curve the metal by utilizing different hammers and hammer blows. Students will create
a finished jewelry piece using the fluid lines created in forging. Care and alteration of hammer faces will also be discussed.
