Casting for Texture (Pewter casting) with Courtney Gray

In this workshop you will cast 3 dimensional metal pieces from molds you press or carve into cuttlefish bone. Impressions are first made in this organic material and then molten pewter is poured in. Amazing textures can be achieved in this simple process! After cooling, the piece is finished into a beautiful work of art. Bring simple shapes or objects to class to reproduce into jewelry. Learn to cast in your own home or studio and begin producing wonderful texture and life in your designs.
