Etching with Ashleigh Holeman

Here is your chance to learn simple and safe techniques for chemically etching copper and silver for fabrication, enameling, and embossing. This class will cover various methods of ornamenting metal, including etching with hand drawn, stamped, and photo copied text and images. In this two day workshop, learn many facets of the art of jewelry etching, including the chemistry of the process, uses of the technique, and how to create your own etching set up for use in your own studio. Students will etch multiple copper plates, as well as their own silver works in progress. Sign up for the enameling class as well and learn techniques to apply enamel to your etched creation!  (Beginners-advanced welcome)
