Enameling is the technique of applying specially formulated colored glass compounds to metal, and then fusing the enamels to the metal with heat. In this hands on three day workshop learn how enamel works and how to apply it to your own jewelry. View and discuss examples of ancient to modern day enameled projects and techniques. Experiment with simple enamel techniques including opaque and transparent enamels, sifting, graffito, stenciling, wet packing and more. Create enameled pieces or pendants in copper and discover the many fun and beautiful possibilities of this ancient jewelry process while adding color to your world.
