Delft Clay Casting with Jurgen Maerz
Saturday and Sunday, December 10-11, 9 am – 6 pm
Using ancient sand casting techniques, this class will show you an easy way to create amazing jewelry. In this 2 day workshop you will learn to cast 3 dimensional pieces using simple and versatile molding methods. Melt sterling silver or bronze and cast it into jewelry or small sculpture. Delft clay is inexpensive and one can create beautiful pieces by casting them directly into the clay, Bring simple shapes or objects to class to reproduce using this technique. Learn the safe and fun way to cast in your own home or studio.
Tuition: $295 (Cost of silver casting grain is extra and is determined by weight)
