Are you ready to add color and flair to your jewelry with gemstones? With over 40 years experience in setting fine gemstones of all shapes and sizes, Steve Kriechbaum offers you the secrets of his experience. Learn how to prong, flush (gypsy) and channel set on prepared rings to develop the skills to accurately incorporate stones into your work. You will walk away with beautiful examples of these stone setting styles that will help you to continue practicing at home. Bring your eye gear magnification (we have only few in the studio)! ★★ Some flex shaft experience is a must!
FYI: Though there will be a discussion of fabricating and casting mountings as well as purchasing premade settings, students will not be creating their own mountings as we will be providing premanufactured settings for you to practice setting on. Extras will be available for purchase.
