Fascinating Findings with Janise Simmons

Learn how to make your jewelry wearable by creating custom findings and connections for your pieces. In this class you will learn soldering techniques using a small portable torch that can be used inside your home. The first evening learn efficient and easy jump ring techniques. These methods will give your pieces longevity and strength. Apply your new soldering skills to create French wire earrings with functional and attractive balled ends. On the second night, create āSā and hook clasps, as well as findings for leather cord and more. The third night, learn to make toggle clasps and learn ancient silver granulation techniques to enhance small projects and findings. This class provides much of the knowledge you need to incorporate your own custom metal jewelry designs. This is perfect for the beginner metal-smith or beading enthusiasts.
