Take the mystery out of the finishing process and quit sanding and polishing all day! Learn the most efficient and effective ways to finish out and add beautiful and unique textures to your jewelry pieces. Beginners will discover what kind of finish particular tools produce; including satin buffs, wire brushes, steel wool, silicone wheels, and more. Experience the beautiful colors that can be produced with heat-treating your metals and learn the effects of chemicals. Imprint interesting fabric patterns and organic objects such as leaves and feathers on your metal using a rolling mill. Discover other texturing tools including rice paper, mesh screen, stamps, sandpaper and more. This is an essential class for jewelers at all levels! Leave with a collection of different finish and texture samples to incorporate into your projects and for later reference. Bring any pieces that need “finishing” to work on in class as well.
