Using a Jeweler’s saw with Rima Rex
(Beginners-Advanced) February 24 (Tuesday) 5:30-9:30pm
Develop your skills to cut out beautiful intricate designs in copper and silver sheet. Learn to use one of the most imperative tools in the jewelry trade, the jeweler’s saw. Discuss the proper use of the saw, different saw blades their sizes and application. Come with some ideas to cut out, such as, a simple pattern, a silhouette of a tree, flower or person, a symbol, a Mandala, ornaments or any design from your own mind (keep it simple). Students will leave with a good understanding of the jeweler’s saw and how to cut shapes from metal smoothly, and efficiently.
