Welding Processes with Colby Brinkman *

Have you always wanted to learn how to weld metal together but never had the opportunity? Take advantage of this class and learn essential techniques and welding methods. Whether you are creating artwork, repairing or building bicycles, or creating other functional objects don’t miss your chance to learn the safe and correct way to join metals in a fun and professional environment.
Receive one on one instruction from Colby Brinkman, experienced welder, fabricator and metal smith in his East Austin studio and learn the basics of several welding processes and tool use including: - MIG (metal inert gas), perhaps one of the easiest forms of electric welding. - Flux core, an economic welding process, great for home and garage use. - Oxygen/Fuel welding and cutting, another economic welding process, great for art projects. - Learn the basics of electric angle grinders - grinding, sanding, and wire brushing. Intensive safety discussion and proper use of equipment, setup and tools will be covered. This class is essential to anyone wanting to gain basic welding skills. This class has a maximum of four students.
